Hi Chris, very lovely roses you are showing us here! I am especially impressed by ‘Social Climber’. I noticed that the tall canes of your ‘Reine des Violettes’ are a little bit bare. They look exactly like mine do. I thought there is something wrong with my rose or my rose care, but it might be just the habit of this Hybrid Perpetual. Anyway, I will forgive this rose anything because of her unbelievable beautiful blooms :-) !

    • Christina, This is the third year for Social Climber in my garden and this seems to be her year. I planted three side by side and they are really producing some good blooms this spring. I have always thought the same about Reine des Violettes. Such a beautiful rose, I can excuse the lack of foliage. –Chris
