  2. ‘Dream Come True’ is outstanding, Chris! Wow. Love it.

  3. Chris a nice selection. Looks like a little moisture has formed your way.

  4. Laurie says:

“Mr. Lincoln” is one of my all-time favorites. Your “Dream Come True” looks stunning, though.

    • Thanks. This is my second Mr. Lincoln. I have a bed just for “Presidential” roses. ‘Ronald Reagan’ “Lady Bird” “Barbara Bush” and of course Honest Abe…. :) It is a bipartisan effort to bring dem and rep together… if no where else but in the garden! HA!

      • Laurie says:

Oh good for you! When I taught at the University of Oregon, I was friends with the wife of the President and she used to let me tend the Presidential Wives’ Rose Garden : )

  5. Phillip says:

Very nice Chris! What English roses do the best for you?

  6. CurtissAnn says:

One of my first roses was Mr. Lincoln (and me from the South :) . I grew it on the Oklahoma plain. Can you imagine. That thing was tough! And lovely.

  7. seniorhiker says:

Your picture of Dream Come True with the water drops is absolutely beautiful. We had this rose, but it didn’t survive two winters ago. It was the only rose we lost. Our Mister Lincoln is trying to give Veteran’s Honor a run for its money this year. I enjoyed all your photos from your beautiful garden.

  8. aloha,

love the roses especially sentimental, thats one floribunda, wish i could grow those in my zone :(

  9. Your roses are so beautiful and I love the first photo of ‘Dream Come True’-so fititng for the rose. Happy GBBD!

  10. Holleygarden says:

Very nice. I love the look of Scentimental. And the second photo is so colorful and enchanting.

  11. Hannah says:

Lovely roses. I featured roses this month on GBBD too, the only one we had in common was Scentimental. I love those variegated roses. I would follow you but I only do Google Friend Connect and I don’t see that on your blog, as emails get too oppressive.

  12. Oh my goodness, that first picture is just breathtaking! I love roses, and I’m s a sucker for roses that have varying colors. Glad to find you through the bloom day! :-)

  13. Scott says:

Lovely post…the rain drops are the icing on the cake, so to speak :-)

  14. Alyssa says:

WOW, wish I had your green thumb. Beautiful! :)

  15. debsgarden says:

Your roses are looking wonderful! I especially like the photo with the urn, and Scentimental is still a favorite since you introduced it to me.
