GUEST POST:
Each year we tackle a holiday craft project. I was inspired by a friend to create an awesome snowman Christmas tree. She and I belong to the same women’s club and she made one for a luncheon. This is her version:
My version is below along with a little video Chris helped me put together to show you how its made. I also made one for my my sister who lives in Tennessee.
What you need:
- 3 ft. Pre-lit White Christmas Tree
- Black Hat (lightweight)
- 8″ white foam ball (head)
- Holiday Pick
- Redbird Pick
- Snowflakes
- Buttons (8) & Straight Pins for face
- Black Felt or christmas ornaments for coat buttons
- White craft paint
- Fabric remnants (scarf & hat band)
This is a fun and easy project. I completed Frosty in a couple of hours. Most of that time was waiting for the glue to dry… to display, I add cotton batting to the bottom to simulate snow. He is the topic of conversation by all who see’s him.
Would love to hear your thoughts on this project and would like to encourage you to make one for yourself or better yet a friend. He is a source of great holiday joy!

Very clever!
Thank you! It was fun to do!
How cute is he!!! The video is very helpful to know just what to do. Thanks for sharing this fun project.
Very nice…We are very fond of snowmen here at the Byington residence…..
This is absolutely too adorable. I am sending it to Atlanta to my daughter who is my grand daughter’s Daisy Girl Scout leader. What a fun project this would be if you could find very small white trees and let each Daisy make her own snowman for her room.
Very attractive and a nice project for the young and the young at heart. The wonderful thing is you can make it any size you need.
So cute!! Love the video.
Oh I just love it. That is the cutest idea. Great job!
