>An Early Visit To My Favorite Garden Shop

Tina and I took a preemptive visit to my favorite gardening shop yesterday. I had heard that they were already filling up their two huge greenhouses with roses from Jackson and Perkins and Weeks Roses. The rumors proved true. And as you can see, the green houses were full.

Hannah’s has a full supply of all types of roses. Hybrid teas, floribundas, grandfloria, miniature, tree roses, climbers, old garden roses, even the popular knock out roses.
I have to make two replacements this year. My “Peace” and another rose, which was apricot in color and unidentified have died. I will replace the Peace rose with another, as it was planted in memory of my mother. I will replace the apricot rose, with a Graham Thomas rose.
David Austin and his beautiful english roses caught my eye last year and I planted two Golden Celebration roses. This year I wanted to add to that with a Graham Thomas rose. Graham Thomas was a world famous rosarian who dedicated his life to identifying, cataloging and growing all types of old roses.

I will return in late February to make my purchases and do my planting just in time for a full season of growth and bloom.
