>Pruned all roses today. Shaped the bushes and thinned out weak, small or crossing canes. I had not touched the David Austin “golden celebration” roses since last summer, letting them put down some roots. These were the most difficult to prune. Very prickly. They have not performed as well as thought they would. I am giving them another year or two.
I also sprayed all roses with lime-sulphur to kill any remaining fungi that might be lurking around. I will begin my normal spray routine of Ortho on Monday.
I do have two roses that did not make it through the winter. I will be replacing them soon.
