Despite a little rain, I was able to pick a few blooms this morning. Our roses seem to be gearing up for their second flush of bloom of the year. Most surprisingly is our Golden Celebration roses, they are now doing very well after a slow start last year. They seems to keep some type of black spot despite prodigious spraying, but the blooms and fragrance are worth it. I guess the old adage is true, a rose takes 2 to 3 years to become well established in your garden…..
