Do you ever go somewhere expecting nothing to happen, and then everything happens? So it was at the Birmingham Rose Show today. I had a few blooms and two bright ideas for arrangements to take to the show, with no expectations other than to add my blooms to the throng of roses to be displayed, and to work the room and talk, talk, talk roses. I had no idea I would actually win any awards. Below is the chronicle of my entries and how they fared against others at the show.

(This recognition is especially meaningful. The tea towel was Tina’s Grandmother’s, I can’t think of a more meaningful way to honor her this Mother’s Day weekend. )
