>Murdaugh Rose Garden – Revisited

>

Our good friends Audrey and Bob Murdaugh of Pelham, Al have a small rose garden at the side of their house. Last year they enlisted my help to revive several of their roses that were no longer producing. We dug and mulched and fertilized and watered and sprayed to no avail.

After much deliberation, the decision was made to shovel prune the majority of the roses in this bed, relocate the climber to the back of the garden spot and plant some new roses.

As luck would have it, I found 4 Iceberg roses: 2 white and 2 burgundy, a pink knockout and two Martha Gonzales shrubs…

These are now nicely planted and are settling into their new home. Can’t wait to see the pretty blooms on these roses!
