>Greenhouse Visit: S & W Greenhouse, White House, TN

>

During my recent visit to Nashville, I was reminded by e-mail of the awesome sale on roses from the good folks at S & W Greenhouse at White House, Tennessee. I had never purchased from them, but had read positive comments on several websites and other bloggers, so I decided to check them out in person.
A little off the beaten path, S & W Greenhouse is about a 20 minute drive north of Nashville. The have several greenhouses full of roses and other plants. (mainly roses) They ship bareroot only during prime shipping season, but now at the end of season they have a multitude of roses potted in 3 gal containers for sale at the greenhouse. Thee roses are mainly from Weeks and Jackson & Perkins and are of superior quality.
Hybrid Teas, Floribunda’s, Shrub, David Austin and even some miniature roses. $8 per pot for the 3 gal containers and $5 per pot for the mini’s! With other roses selling online and in home centers for more than double that price, I was in rose heaven!!!!!!

I purchased:

2 Mary Rose – David Austin English Rose
1 Julia Child – Floribunda (for my dear friend Barbie Ford)
1 Tiddly Winks – Miniature Rose. Own Root
1 Heartbreaker – Miniature Rose. Own Root

I would have purchased more if I had been in the truck. This was all Tina’s car would carry.
The quality on these plants is the best I have seen at any greenhouse around. This guy really cares about what he does and in my estimation, only had best quality merchandise. Needless to say, I was impressed. So, if you are in the area, stop by for a visit. If you stop, you will buy, or leave wishing you did…….
