> We are seeing a nice flush of bloom on the Don Juan climbing rose. The blooms are so pretty, producing good sized blooms that are the deepest color red. My little camera cannot adequately capture its beauty. This year, the growth on this rose has been mainly from the bottom of the plant. It has produced several new basal canes. I am not very well versed at training roses on trellises. Most of my attempts have resulted in damaged canes and a lot of frustration. So this rose, is partially trellised and partially doing its own thing in my garden. With such pretty blooms, this suits me just fine.
