“Mutabilis”
This China rose is very unique. It is a rose that changes color as it ages.
It starts out as a light pink, then fades to a deep crimson color.
I am told that this rose is only hardy to zone 7, possibly 6 with some winter protection. We planted this rose in late February of this year and it has more than doubled in size and always has a bloom. I have seen this rose in other gardens reach more than 7′ tall and about 5′ wide. It definitely needs to be planted in a spot where it can spread its wings!!!!!!

>What a wonderful bloom it has also.I love the petals. Alas but not hardy here. So many of the beauties are not hardy in my zone 5 and it is so disappointing.Especially when like this one that has continuous blooms.

>It's a wonderfully simple flower. Maybe if I wrapped it in a heating pad it would winter over. You can move your hosta anytime you want. Just make the hole larger than the root ball and give it a good watering. I moved 6 last week that were sun damaged and they look fine. jim
