L.D. Braithwaite – “Auscrim”
– introduced 1988 by David Austin Roses –
We are seeing a few blooms from our recently planted L.D. Braithwaite.
The deep crimson coloring of this rose make an eye catching display in the garden.
It’s growth habit seems to be very similar to our “Mary Rose” shrubs.
I have also noticed the fragrance of this rose seems to develop as it ages, giving off a light old rose scent.
Current “Austins” under cultivation in our garden:
Mary Rose, L.D. Braithwaite, Benjamin Britten, Golden Celebration
