>Bloom Week – Friday – Julia Child – Floribunda

If I could have just one yellow rose, it would be Julia Child.

This floribunda has proven herself in my garden. Rarely out of bloom in the spring and summer, this rose is a bloom machine.

Very hardy and disease resistant.

This rose was selected by Julia Child herself, who said the open bloom looked like “scrambled eggs”.

Introduced in 2005 by Weeks Roses

Accolades soon followed:

All America Selections

ARS Members Choice Award Current ARS rating: 8.2 (solid to very good rose)

    >Nice contrast between the foliage and bloom

  3. >Beautiful shot of 'Julia Child'. I am glad that this rose is doing well for you. I am hearing good things about this rose over and over again. Maybe I will consider her for my own garden in the future, after I have planted all of my pot ghetto roses into the ground. I guess, that will take a while :-)!Christina

  4. >Hey RR! I also love Miss Julia. She has done well in my garden. Last winter with its -17F was a bit cruel, but she's still living. Hats off to her.~~Dee

  5. >Just found your rose blog and i am delighted. Very pretty flowers. And wonderful shots as well.

  6. >You always have the most beautiful roses… This one is just wonderful. Happy Bloom Day!

  7. Masha says:

    >I love this rose too! It is so appropriate named, also because flowers fade to a butter color, and the fragrance is licorice:). Mine also blooms well, and is a neat healthy bush.

  8. Lydia says:

    >Julia Child's scrambled eggs undoubtedly looked better than mine. My blossoms are more like whipped citrus butter or mounds of lemon pudding
