>Rose Shows – The Arrangements Division

Arrangements add that zing to a rose show like nothing else. The Birmingham Rose show has no shortage of artistic arrangements each year. Our Society is blessed with an array of talented floral designers whose goal is to show off the rose to its best advantage.

Last year, they even let a novice like me give it a try. Below are a few pictures of the arrangements from years past. Alas, I am unable to credit the arrangers on most of these. Except the last one, it was done by me!

I love the blue/pink/green colors used in this arrangement

This arrangement had the feel of the Orient

I love the use of “out of the box” greenery to the mix….

A bit of whimsy in this arrangement made to look like an ice cream soda

“A Functional Try Set For Tea”

This was my very first arrangement entry.
It won the ARS Court of Etiquette Award and a blue ribbon!

Birmingham Rose Show May 7 & 8, Birmingham Botanical Gardens

If you like arrangements, please seek our your local Rose Societies show this year, and go see the arrangements on display. You might want to enter one yourself!

The American Rose Society Website http://www.ars.org/ has an excellent listing of Rose Societies in the United States.
