My morning garden walk revealed a suprise today, a few stunning blooms of an victorian era hybrid perpetual ; ‘Reine Des Violettes’. This rose is very fragrant and has a beautiful cupped bloom. This rose typically puts on a big show of blooms in the early spring. This year however, it has put out several 8ft canes and has produced more blooms. It seems to be settling in quite well.

This is such a beautiful rose! We have a rooted cutting growing in our garden, and I can’t wait until it’s mature enough to bloom. (Maybe we’ll get some next year?) Thanks for sharing these gorgeous pics with us!
