New Rose In My Garden – ‘Memphis King’

Heirlooms Roses recently had a sale on its miniature and miniflora roses, and I just happened to be on their site one day and well I ordered this beauty. I have seen it on the show tables at our rose show as well as at the ARS Fall Nationals in Atlanta a few years back and thought is was a wonderful looking rose.

This dark red miniflora is known for its beautiful form and color and was hybridized by famed hybridizer Walt Wells. It arrived a very small ‘plug’ of a plant and was placed in a pot for it to gain some size before introducing it to the garden beds.

June is National Rose Month. Why not select a new rose for your garden this month? Mini and Miniflora roses are fun and easy to grow!
