“Mr. Lincoln” is one of my all-time favorites. Your “Dream Come True” looks stunning, though.

    • Thanks. This is my second Mr. Lincoln. I have a bed just for “Presidential” roses. ‘Ronald Reagan’ “Lady Bird” “Barbara Bush” and of course Honest Abe…. 🙂 It is a bipartisan effort to bring dem and rep together… if no where else but in the garden! HA!

Oh good for you! When I taught at the University of Oregon, I was friends with the wife of the President and she used to let me tend the Presidential Wives’ Rose Garden : )

One of my first roses was Mr. Lincoln (and me from the South :). I grew it on the Oklahoma plain. Can you imagine. That thing was tough! And lovely.

Your picture of Dream Come True with the water drops is absolutely beautiful. We had this rose, but it didn’t survive two winters ago. It was the only rose we lost. Our Mister Lincoln is trying to give Veteran’s Honor a run for its money this year. I enjoyed all your photos from your beautiful garden.

Lovely roses. I featured roses this month on GBBD too, the only one we had in common was Scentimental. I love those variegated roses. I would follow you but I only do Google Friend Connect and I don’t see that on your blog, as emails get too oppressive.
