Never Forget

I will never forget where I was that day. Sitting in a shuttle riding between bank buildings in Birmingham. The radio news blaring some story about a plane hitting the World Trade Center in New York. I didn’t realize the full impact of this event until later in the morning as we all watched in horror the events that unfolded that day.

It has been my ardent prayer for those affected by this event, that hope and healing has been your path and that you have found some peace in your life.

Several roses have been developed and named to remember those who lost their lives in this terrible tragedy.  The blooms can’t take away the pain, but can provide joy and remembrance of lives loved and lost.

Remember Me Rose Gardens is an organization that was formed to establish a rose garden near each of the three sites affected that day. Read more at Remember Me Rose website

What a lovely idea to name roses after the fallen and the heroes of that day. Their memories will live on forever, that’s for certain, but it is very nice to have a tangible reminder.

  4. My gratitude…I have no words.

These are all so beautiful. I think it would be great to have a garden with all of these roses planted together!
