First Bloom 2013 – Climbing Pinkie

We have waited all winter and now through a rater late spring for our first rose bloom of the season.  Last year this honor went to ‘Mary Rose’ a beautiful David Austin rose. This year however, ‘Climbing Pinkie’ was first to arrive. This is a beautiful climbing rose that produces hundreds of small sized blooms.  This rose has been designated as an “earth kind rose” and can be grown in a variety of soil conditions.

I can tell y’all that I was mighty proud to see these first blooms of the year. We have many buds on other roses and some just about to burst forth. Stay tuned for the forthcoming rose parade!
