Artistry & Iceberg – National Rose Month

Artistry Hybrid Tea & Iceberg Floribunda

Artistry Hybrid Tea & Iceberg Floribunda

We love the coral colored blooms of Artistry hybrid tea rose in our garden.  If I had to pick one hybrid tea rose to grow for garden color, it would be artistry.

Iceberg is another great garden rose. a floribunda, it bloom in flushes during throughout the season, producing an abundance of white blooms. Is so widely grown in the U.S. that it’s called America’s Rose.

I would highly recommend either of these roses.

  2. I love the look of Artistry; first time I’ve seen it. Not personally very crazy about Iceberg here, though. Didn’t do well at the K-State gardens and in my yard it’s an early blackspot indicator.

  3. I vote for Iceberg, I love white roses. Except I have to fight the urge to eat it with Russian dressing.

I love Iceberg! I planted one in the rose bed at our old house. I was surprised by someone’s comment that it didn’t do well at K-State gardens since I also am in Manhattan. I don’t recall having had problems with Iceberg having black spot. Iceberg is a rose that I would have recommended based on my experience with that one bush. I guess that our Icebergs must have come from different stock … or perhaps different locations even in the same town can make a difference? The only reason that I don’t have one at our current house is that white flowers don’t show up as well in my garden here.
