What’s Blooming This Week

I can hardly believe we are well into summer already.  Our roses are holding up well due to some much welcomed rainfall this year. Here are a few of the roses that are blooming this week in our Alabama rose garden.

    Japanese Beetles have ruined all blooms here in Louisville,KY. I loved seeing your big healthy blooms. So glad they have not eaten your blooms!!

  3. Chris, after listening to your rose chat with Weeks Roses, I do not understand how they test a variety in other parts of the country before they go to market. Could you explain this?

    beautiful roses, teh mary roses look like peonies, or do peonies look like roses? lol, very nice, the beetles did not do well this year, we had a cold snap in late may or early june and I guess that killed off many of the larvae. not sure last year they were not really that bad but hte year before very bad.

      • I would have stopped by sooner but you do not come up in the Reader feed for some reason. I adjusted the notification setting so I will now (hopefully) receive e-mail notifications.
        On a personal note I love your Rose gardens, the info provided and the stories about them. My Moms Mom had Roses. Stories and memories are powerful things 🙂
