Birmingham Rose Show 2014 – Best of Birmingham

1797440_10152094344877672_5699784012323858106_nThe Birmingham Rose Show is coming up this weekend at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens and I can’t wait to see what blooms will be on display. This show is one of the largest rose shows in the southeast and showcases the many fine varieties of roses that can be grown in the Deep South.

It is a lot of fun to come and stroll through the exhibit hall and see the roses on display. They also have an exhibition of floral arrangements and photography. It’s all FREE and open to the public.

DSC_0150As a member of the Birmingham Rose Society, I’ll be there helping to set up the show and if I have some pretty blooms, might just enter a few in the show. My good friend, Gloria Purnell will host a FREE seminar on growing roses at 3 pm on Saturday.
