This is the second year for Grand Amore in my garden and I can report that the blooms this year are even better than last year. My camera cannot capture true red, but this rose is a true red. It opens with near perfect centers and I have read accounts of this rose winning trophies at rose shows. While I can see its show potential, I also see the greater aspect of disease resistance. I do not spray this rose and have had no significant disease problems.
Introduced in the US in 2008, this roses was bred by Kordes roses of Germany.

Did I mention that this rose is fragrant? Great Blooms, Disease Resistance, Fragrance??? Hmmm Sounds like a winner to me!

Oh, how magnificent! Thanks for sharing, Chris.
My Sunny’s buds are just shaping now, and following two days of heavy rain (4.5 inches), it is soon poised for bloom.
Have a wonderful, fragrant weekend. Diane
