Last autumn I shared with you the news that our friends at Weeks Roses were introducing a line of roses dedicated to the popular BBC television series Downton Abbey. Anna’s Promise is the first rose from that collection and I am very lucky to have been able to gotten a few shrubs for my own garden. It is a grandiflora, which typically likes to bloom tall, so I’ll let her gain some height and see how she does….

First Bloom – Anna’s Promise – Grandiflora
Thus far, a healthy shrub that is growing quickly and I am excited about the prospect for this rose in my garden.

Roses are fun and easy to grow. This roses also has a mild fragrance, which is a big plus for me.

Lovely, Chris. Anna is one of my most favourite characters on DA. But Maggie smith still takes the cake, with those one-liners….
