An Award & Holiday Cheer Challenge Update
Chris VanCleave aka “The Redneck Rosarian” is awarded the Bronze Honor Medal from the Birmingham Rose Society. This is the highest honor that can be awarded at a local Rose Society. Mr. VanCleave’s work on increasing membership, chairing the 2011 & 2012 rose shows as well as a commitment to community service were all mentioned in remarks given by Dr. Harold Settle at the awards event. Tenarky District Fall Rose Show
The TENARKY District of the American Rose Society is comprised of 10 local societies in Tennessee, Eastern Arkansas and Kentucky. Rose garden enthusiasts throughout the region will travel to Nashville with their blossoms in coolers in hopes of having their roses named “Queen of the Show.” Continue reading
