Welcome Ladies! Fall Garden Tour

Recently, it was my great pleasure to welcome a group of ladies to our garden for a walkabout to experience the beauty of the roses growing here. It is a great opportunity to explain the types of roses and their growth habits. We also did a short pruning demonstration and had a discussion on tools and soil. Of all the questions from the group, almost all wanted to know which roses were fragrant. All agreed that our bloom ‘Francis Meilland’ was the most fragrant of the tour. It was a fun morning….

Visitors this time of year are greeted by a wicked witch and her brood of cats dancing around a cauldron of mums and ivy

Every visitor gets a copy of my tips for growing roses and also a little talk on tools and soil

What a wonderful time they must have had – if they weren’t scared by the witch! 😉 I love that you give each one a rose, and a handy tip sheet. I hope they all go home and plant their own rose!
