Thank you, some of these will grow nicely here in the desert although most are annuals here. My goal is a perenial garden that blooms cycle lasts throughout the year but, I admit…I love annuals and won’t stop planting them for that pop of color.

I have discovered two evergreen clematis since living here. I have ‘Snowdrift’ and ‘Apple ? Blossom’ covering a chain link fence behind some roses. I really hate the look of the chain link, but just today I noticed that it did keep hungry deer away, as expected. How did I figure that out? They were near, pruning only the canes sticking out of the fence!

I have seen beautiful purple clematis ‘President’ climbing near delicate pink Austin roses. That combo takes your breath away 🙂
