>Julia Child – Raised Bed Update

>The raised bed I built earlier this year is yielding some positive results. As you might recall, I planted two Julia Child (yellow) Floribunda’s and two Moondance (white) Floribunda’s and about 30 daffodil bulbs. The roses should bloom from April til Nov. and the Daffodils will bloom in early spring Giving us about 8 months of color.

This is a side view of the raised bed. The dimensions are 3′ x 6′.
Now that this bed is established, I think it’s time to start on the next one.

This is the very first bloom of the Julia Child. It’s bloom is what I would call “ruffled”, and does not have a traditional rose center. This rose has little or no fragrance, but does have a lot of thorns. Everyone I know who grows this rose says she is a constant bloomer.
