New Rose In My Garden “Crescendo” – A Smyphony of Beauty

When I first read about this rose, I knew I had to have it. “Crescendo”, a new hybrid tea introduced by Jackson & Perkins this year is named to honor the Nashville Symphony. Now, I love me some hybrid teas and y’all know I was raised in Nashville and have a great affection for the symphony and the city, so this rose is a natural fit in my garden. The blooms are just beginning to appear, but I can already tell that I’m gonna love the fragrant blooms. Yes, another fragrant hybrid tea…. Could hybridizers be trending toward more fragrant roses? Time will tell on that and on this rose, but thus far I am enjoying watching it grow.  Y’all know I’m gonna keep you posted on its progress. I can already tell i’m gonna need at least two more…

  1. A lighter-pink Tiffany? Well, the fragrance will be welcome, but who knows how many more new J&P introductions we’ll see given the upheaval in the commercial rose world.

Hi Chris. It looks like the new rose is going to be a good one. I love fragrant roses so I welcome your opinion on new roses. I was looking at your new miniature rose Warm & Fuzzy. What a pretty little thing. I like those fuzzy’s on it. Unique. Great Poem too Chris. I forgot you moved to WordPress. I have it marked now so I can keep up on your roses now. LOL!
